Brief History
PCP started in 1974 with manufacturing of underbody sound Deadener at Kolkata and started supplying to Hindustan Motors Ltd. PCP during 1980 also started making insulations based on rubber laminated with Jute/cotton for floor, bonnet, and rear seat. In 1984 PCP started with paints, sealers, and sealants in the name of Paragon Paints for automotive, railways, and other engineering industries. During 1984 PCP started manufacturing Melt Sheets (Asphalt Sheets) for HM's Contessa, based on the requirements of Vauxhall of GM.

In 1998 PCP signed technology transfer agreement with Asahi Rubber Co. Ltd. of Japan. Asahi is one of the pioneer company in japan making Asphalt Sheets, Visco foam, Sealers and sealant and having 35% market share in Japan. PCP in order to make itself a "Consumer Delight" company started its Northern India plant at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan and its souhern India plant at Hosur and is going to setup its Western India plant in Pune.

PCP has localized its manufacturing activities near its customers for giving them "JIT" delivery and less lead time for development. PCP with inner thrust for upgradation of technology started making insulation based on barrier(EVA/EPDM) with PU foam.

2009

2008

  • • Set up of new facility at Pune, Maharashtra (with Carpet molding)
  • • Joint venture with Parker Corporation, Japan for Expandable Foams
  • • Started production of Noise Shields, Carpets & Insulations for Heavy Vehicles in India
  • • Started supplies of Carpets and Insulations for Fiat and Indica Vista, Tata Motors
  • • Started exports to Ford Australia
  • • Developed parcel tray and double layer dash insulations

2007

  • • Q1 Certified from Ford
  • • Started Exports for Heavy Vehicles to Europe for AVIA
  • • Best SME Award for Employment category by Canara Bank and also from FOSMI

2006

  • • Designing and Development of Total NVH Solutions as a full service support
  • • Zero PPM Award from Toyota India
  • • Received Silver Award from Honda India
  • • Inauguration of EPP Plant at Bhiwadi, Rajasthan

2005

  • • Received Gold Award from Honda India
  • • Certification of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

2004

  • • Started sourcing office in Thailand
  • • Received Award from Toyota for Zero PPM and also Appreciation Certificates for Quality, Cost & Delivery for 2003 and 2004
  • • Received Award from Hyundai for Achieving 100 PPM

2003

  • • Started Exports to OEM's (GM-Thailand)
  • • Selected as Full Service Supplier by Ford for designing of Deadeners at their R & D Centre in Australia
  • • Received appreciation certificate from Hyundai India

2002

1998

  • • Technical tie-up initiated with Asahi Rubber Company Ltd. of Japan, for manufacturing of Melt Sheet.

1985~1997

  • • PCP set up its 2nd plant for manufacture of Paints at Kolkata in the name of Paragon Paints
  • • Development of Heat Fusible sound dampening sheet (melt sheet) as an import substitute
  • • PCP set up its 3rd plant for manufacture of anti corrosive paints and melt sheet at Kolkata in the name of Paracoat Products Ltd.

1974~1984

  • • PCP set up its 1st plant at Kolkata for the manufacturing of Underbody Sound Deadener coating in the name of Pyne Chemical Products
